This month, 12th Tribe turns 2! Where did the time go?! I literally have no idea, because I swear just yesterday I was almost in tears that Nasty Gal didn't call me back for the Interview they scheduled and I decided to start a little website.
While it seems this time has gone by in a blink of an eye, it's truly incredible to see what has come within that short amount of time. When you think your whole world is crashing down with catastrophic post college events, you never think at that time, your whole life has been changed for the better.
Over the last two years, I have been living in Los Angeles, California. I have pursued this passion to my fullest abilities and worked harder than I have ever worked. Sleepless nights, 7 day work weeks, hundreds of photo shoots, styling the ESPYS, connecting with thousands of girls around the world and even dressing clients in parking lots (fun fact: some of you would meet me getting off the free way during a road trip, or even in the Whole Foods Parking lot for a pair of shorts! I love you guys). The two years has even incuded styling you girls straight out of my apartment for Coachella (thank you roommate for putting up with this), traveling the state with a boutique in my car and popping up at every sorority even in the pouring rain, and so so much more. Safe to say, I think I've almost done it all.
I have been to Bali twice, Costa Rica, and Mexico, to name a few, all in order to curate a collection on 12th Tribe that is one of a kind, and create content that will leave a memorable impression on you and inspiration to see the world. I've been dripping sweat rummaging through Indonesian markets, stomping through rice fields until half my legs are soaked and even hunted through a Bangkok Fashion Market for an entire day to find ONE thing. Needless to say, if there is a will there is a way.
From my mom's kitchen table with a few pairs of vintage shorts, to an apartment with a few racks in LA to our first office last June, 12th Tribe is growing it's team and moving into our second office space. All of which would not be possible without all of you and the support I've received. I have the most incredible team in the world, a family that always has my back and customers who are so amazing, patient and loyal.
There comes challenges with starting a business and while maybe it is not always perfect we are continuously pursuing our mission to be a brand you can always rely on. We are on a treasure hunt and adventure through life as we build this business and it is our mission to always be transparent, communicative, and ever changing to bring you affordable, and unique products.
We can't do this without, so again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope to continue this blog each Monday, so please stay tuned for further #MondayMatters and leave me a comment below if you made it to the end of this;)
I love hearing from all of you.
